Just Another False Beauty

So you see me
Past this translucent mask
This peeling hatred burning within
Everyday that passes by
Every second I'm alive
Makes me more frustrated
Hoping one day I'll be strong enough
Strong enough to make the change
As I spend these lifetimes with you
These seasons ever changing
And like these seasons my heart changes
Going from on side to the other
These once intoxicating butterflies
Have evaporated into oblivion
Yet this boat this ever rowing machine
Shall continue to carry the strain and the grief
Of knowing what lies there
What will always lie there
In the darkest corner of the skeleton filled closet
Locked and hid behind that pale face
That never justified mask you call a face full of beauty
